I am coming up on the big 50. Realized I am currently the heaviest person in my family. I have had a lot of stress upon stress upon stress this past year and now know I am an emotional eater. After getting seriously sick and needing surgery, I feel that if I don't take care of myself now, then when would I. Since joining Ideal Protein through work at the start of the new year, I have lost 14 pounds and almost 4 inches. I already have more energy and found a new wardrobe in the back of my wardrobe. LOL. Down 2 pant sizes and one shirt size. |

I am a 61 year old English teacher at an alternative high school - I have been on almost every diet out there over the years and done the yo-yo life style for most of my life. 5 weeks ago I was ill with very high blood pressure and was told I needed to be put on a restricted diet I could do on my own or one with guidance - I chose guidance - I started out at 212lbs this time - have lost 17lbs in my first month and I am looking forward to being healthy, happy, and ready to enjoy a full and active life with my new baby grandson! Joined Ideal Protein last week after facing the fact that I was obviously not losing on my own...the scale continued to climb. My sister & her friend in IA joined & I'm encouraged by their success thus far. This is the first time I'm truly sticking to a plan & am encouraged that I will succeed. I was on the program 4 years ago lost 30 lbs--problem was I never phased out...became over confident & began enduring thinking I'll return to the program which I failed to do until last week when warm weather began & I have -0- to wear & refuse to purchase a larger size again. Doing great so far & intend to make my story a personal success! |
